Responsibilities

Strategic Product Leadership & Advisory

  • Serve as the strategic architect for the data products portfolio, developing a long-term vision and market positioning strategy.
  • Advise executive leadership on market opportunities, competitive threats, and strategic investment priorities for data products.
  • Develop comprehensive competitive differentiation strategies for data products in the insurance and financial services markets.
  • Build and execute sophisticated go-to-market strategies that drive measurable revenue transformation.
  • Lead competitive analysis initiatives and establish market positioning frameworks.
  • Design pricing and packaging strategies for complex B2B data products across multiple customer segments and use cases
  • Create strategic roadmaps that balance customer impact, business value, and revenue potential.
  • Establish frameworks for measuring and optimizing product-market fit beyond traditional usage metrics.

Revenue Transformation & Business Impact

  •  Lead the monetization strategy for data products through advanced subscription models, usage-based pricing, and enterprise licensing.
  • Take strategic ownership of P&L performance and guide product profitability optimization across the portfolio.
  • Develop sophisticated business value propositions that translate technical capabilities into clear customer ROI
  •  Design and optimize pricing and packaging strategies for different market segments, customer sizes, and use cases
  •  Create comprehensive business cases and ROI frameworks that demonstrate customer value and accelerate adoption.
  •  Establish revenue forecasting and growth modeling for the data products business line.

Customer Strategy & Market Intelligence

  •  Lead strategic relationship management with key enterprise customers, including insurance carriers, BGAs, and financial services firms.
  •  Design and execute comprehensive customer research programs to understand market needs and identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop detailed customer personas and journey mapping to guide product strategy and positioning.
  • Establish customer success frameworks, including adoption optimization, churn prevention, and lifetime value maximization.
  •  Build and maintain strategic partnerships with enterprise customers in insurance, financial services, and related industries.
  •  Create systematic approaches to understand customer business drivers and how data products can impact their success metrics.
  • Partner with sales leadership to develop customer acquisition and expansion strategies
  • Lead market intelligence initiatives to identify emerging opportunities and competitive threats

Product Development & Strategic Execution

  •  Lead the end-to-end strategic product development process for customer-facing analytics, reporting, and data-driven insights solutions.
  •  Provide strategic guidance on leveraging Snowflake and Databricks to build scalable, market-leading data solutions.
  •  Collaborate with engineering leadership, data science teams, and UX to define strategic product requirements and ensure competitive execution.
  •  Define comprehensive user personas and use cases for data products, ensuring they address critical industry pain points for external customers.
  •  
  • Ensure data products exceed regulatory and compliance requirements, particularly for insurance and financial services.
  • Guide technical architecture decisions to support scalable customer-facing solutions

Cross-Functional Leadership & Executive Communication

  •  Make independent strategic decisions and drive enterprise-wide stakeholder alignment on data product initiatives.
  •  Lead cross-functional teams through complex product launches, market expansions, and business model changes.
  •  Foster consensus among diverse executive stakeholders who have competing priorities and resource constraints.
  •  Mentor and develop junior product managers in advanced strategic product thinking and customer-facing product management
  •  Handle complex stakeholder communications and manage challenging customer conversations directly.
  • Provide strategic advisory support to data engineering, data science, and analytics teams.
  • Lead partnerships with sales and marketing leadership to position and promote data products effectively to enterprise customers.
  •  Engage directly with external partners, customers, and industry stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives.

Performance Management & Strategic Metrics

  •  Define and track sophisticated success metrics, including customer engagement, adoption optimization, revenue growth, and business transformation impact.
  •  Use advanced data-driven approaches to iterate on product strategy and optimize customer experience.
  •  Ensure strategic alignment between data products and broader corporate objectives, optimizing for market leadership and profitability.
  •  Provide regular strategic updates and recommendations to executive leadership on market positioning and growth opportunities

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of senior product management experience, with at least 7+ years focused on customer-facing data products or analytics solutions sold to external enterprise customers
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in revenue-generating senior product roles with P&L responsibility (not internal analytics or business intelligence)
  •  Minimum 7+ years of experience managing strategic relationships with external enterprise customers and driving customer satisfaction at scale
  •  Proven track record of leading business transformations that drove significant revenue growth (50%+ YoY or larger business model changes)
  •  Senior experience in B2B SaaS, data-as-a-service, or analytics product companies with enterprise customers
  • Background in insurance, financial services, or regulated industries strongly preferred
  • Experience with P&L ownership and managing product profitability for business lines or product portfolios
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or international equivalent
  • MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
  • Industry certifications in product management, data analytics, or relevant technologies are preferred.
