This is an office-based position.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an Associate Software Developer to join our team. This entry-level role involves assisting in the development, customization, and implementation of software solutions for our clients. Working closely with senior developers and project teams, you will contribute to delivering high-quality software services that meet client requirements while building foundational skills in software development.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Development

  • Assist in designing, coding, testing, and implementing software solutions under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Support the customization and configuration of applications to meet specific client needs.

 

Client Interaction

  • Participate in client meetings to understand customer needs, assist in gathering requirements, and provide status updates on project progress.

 

Technical Execution

  • Perform unit testing and assist in integration testing to ensure the quality of deliverables.
  • Troubleshoot issues and support root cause analysis and resolution processes.

Documentation & Learning

  • Contribute to creating and maintaining technical documentation for client projects.
  • Focus on learning product architectures, development workflows, and standards to support high quality deliveries.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Expertise

  • Basic proficiency in programming languages such as C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming and front-end interactions.
  • Fundamental understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) for managing code repositories, including basic tasks like cloning repositories, making commits, and merging branches.
  • Basic understanding of SQL for querying and managing databases.

 

Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills

  • Ability to analyze problems and assist in developing effective solutions.
  • Forward-thinker with the ability to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and propose innovative solutions.

Communication Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in technical contexts

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or international equivalent).
  • Typically requires 0-2 years of experience in software development or a related role.
  • Basic understanding of the insurance/financial industry and its products is desirable.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., .NET Fundamentals) are a plus.
